Astrological Trends November 2008:

· At this time Chiron (the planet that deals with self-healing) is conjoined Neptune and the North Node (which deals with our future) and the Chiron/Neptune conjunction opposes the South Node (which deals with where we came from), and will continue until December 2008. Also Chiron will continue to conjoin Neptune until around March 2012. Under the Chiron/Nodes influence we will be facing our ability to heal and take care of ourselves around cleaning up our past and facing our future. Also with the Neptune influence there will be a lot of confusion around our ability to take care of and heal ourselves (Chiron/Neptune) and confusion around our future and past (Nodes/Neptune). We might make impulsive decisions around this; however, what we need to realize is that we do not have all the information and we should wait to make decisions concerning these areas of our lives unless we have to. What we need to do is wait, collect information, analyze the data, and keep doing this process over and over again. We can see this in the presidential election in that each contender is talking about what we need to do as a nation to take care of ourselves; however, we will not know who the person really is that we have voted into office until years after the election is over, and how his policy’s will affect us. It will be interesting to see what occurs after the smoke-and-mirrors of all the rhetoric is lifted. It is appropriate that the influence of the North and South Node will be involved until after the election, when we will start getting clarity about how this new President will be taking us into the future. An example of this is when Bush was voted into office in 2000 Neptune was conjoined the South Node and opposed the North Node. He said a lot of great things and appeared to be a moderate especially with his catch phase “compassionate conservative”; however, we found out later that the man we voted into office was not the man we thought he was when we elected him. Also given the fact that when under the Neptune influence there is the tendency to jump from the frying pan into the fire, the man voted into office will probably be the worst man for the job. The Chiron/Nodes/Neptune influence also has to do with the problems with our economy coming to the surface. An economic recovery plan was passed by Congress; however, because this plan was passed under these influences it is probably flawed, and we will not be able to fully see the flaws until later in the future. We will probably begin to see flaws in the package after November 4 when Neptune is no longer aspecting the Nodes.

· Saturn will continue to oppose Uranus (the planet of groups, independence, innovation, electricity, and revolution) until March 2009. This will signal a breakdown of established structures. Fortunately Saturn is also trine Jupiter which will help to alleviate the chaos and stress caused by the Uranus aspect until the end of December 2008 when the Jupiter/Saturn trine ends. The Saturn/Jupiter trine is an opportunity to build new structures in our lives. These new structures will be beneficial and because this influence will last until the end of December we have time to make solid plans to implement these changes including changes to our troubled financial system. After December 2008 the revolutionizing of established structures will continue without the help of benefic Jupiter. Hopefully we will have experienced the changes being required of us from the previous three months with the help of Jupiter that we can adapt to these changes without much difficulty when we no longer have Jupiter’s help. It also means that during the time when we are getting the help of Jupiter we need to develop and implement the plans to change the established structures, or they will be changed in ways that we are not prepared to deal with. It is interesting that we are seeing a lot of chaos associated with the financial institutions (Lehman Brothers going into bankruptcy and Merrill Lynch is being bought by Bank of America). This sent the stock market into chaos (Uranus aspect); however, the financial repercussions could have been worse if we would not have had Jupiter helping out. An economic recovery package was passed by Congress (Jupiter aspect); however, the package is probably flawed due to the Neptune influence (see above), and we probably will not know the full extent of the flaws in the package until after Jupiter is no longer aspecting Saturn in a positive manner. While we are still under the Saturn/Jupiter influence we can make needed positive changes to our economic system that the present economic recovery package does not address, or is actually detrimental to our present situation.

· The full moon will occur on 11/13 1:17AM Eastern Time at 21 deg Taurus. This is usually a time of release; however, being in Taurus (which is very private) there is the tendency to express feelings and emotions in an indirect way. Being in Taurus there may be a tendency to be self indulgent with shopping spree’s (to acquire nice and beautiful things), and/or to satisfy hedonistic pleasures (hit the bars). Could be a hot time in the shopping malls during the day, and the bars during the night.
