When we say we would sacrafice anything for love, this does not apply to the practical. This is a spiritual sacrafice for spiritual love. It is sacrafice of self, out of self, not toward any other thing. This is the meaning of the story of the golden calf: Worship not idols, sacrafice not for them. Worship yourself, sacrifice yourself in order to regain yourself.
