Marijuana bad for spritual growth...?

But i'll also elaborate on some of my experiences with it. I'm an IT Manager, and very scientific in my view on life. I also like to consider myself an enlightenment "seeker". I prob. think about spiritual matters, such as ascension, enlightenment, Highly Evolved Beings, meditation, Changing my reality, constantly.. well at least as much as I can without driving my girlfriend crazy...lol. (She's also very spiritual, and is a somewhat practicing Sikh/New Ager). In the past 2 years, since the both of us have started to merge our realities together, there has been a rapid transformation for us. We both have the best jobs we've always had. We both enjoy our life, without any complaints. We both have a great place we live in with great energies (the complex was built on an Indian burial ground), etc.
I've been doing nothing but trying to change myself more spiritual, and noticing my reality/mirror self becoming more peaceful.. *whew* (sad that I have to boost myself up to make myself seem more creditable but eh, that's life).
Now about weed, about ganja, about the holy herb. It is an enhancer. it is a natural tool, created by God. it enhances all your 6.. that's right I said 6 senses. I'm sure we all know the other senses:
taste: good old munchies
touch: xoxoxo (won't go there, but you all know what i'm talking about)
sight: I can actually see things slightly differently
hearing: I can focus my hearing more accurately to a specific situation
smell: food smells even better eh? lol
but the 6th? I'll let you decide.
both my girlfriend and I have meditated together while under the influence of the holy herb.
We know how to raise our energies from the lower chakra to the crown chakra.
We know the sensations that happen to us, when we meditate: tingling in our arms, our chest, our body, etc.
We also know the sensations of the individual chakras, and how they make us feel afterwords.
What we could NOT do, is sense any kind of merging of our energies, when we sit together and meditate.
We did a few tests. Because this topic was of some importants to me a while back. I too wanted to know if it would hinder me spiritually.
While NOT under the influence, we would sit down on our mats, crossed legs and arms, with our foreheads touching. We would then focus on our third eye, and enjoy the energies. But the energies were just our own.

We did the same thing but while under the influence. All of our energies were enhanced, and we 2 noticeable things that were different: we felt a strong vibrational energy between us, and we felt a slightly less energy around and above us. The only "negative' thing I could say, is that after the mediation, we both were very tired. The event drained us.

So i'll leave it up to you to make your own decision. But again, I stress: everything in moderation.

Short and simple:

No, marijuana is not bad for your spiritual growth - unless you're an unbalanced person. By that I mean; when an unbalanced person is under the influence of pot, which basically brings down your mental barriers and opens you up to experiencing spiritual energies easier, it is easy for them to get influenced by negative thought-forms and entities.

However, if you deem yourself a balanced person who knows their power, then by all means, get your ass stoned. The function of pot is that of bringing down the limitations that your own limited mind puts on you. You become more open and aware to and of the energies around you. Like BuddhBadBoy said: All of your senses are altered. You can hear so much better. You can feel so much stronger. You can see things in a way you never saw them before. Your smell and taste are better too (not YOUR smell and taste.. you know what I mean). The biggest impact is on your 6th sense. It opens you up to experiencing energies in a whole new way. Also smoking pot is a great way to enhance meditation for those who find it hard to meditate. You basically go into a meditative state without having to deliberately achieve it.

Like everything else, though, when taken too far pot will be bad for you.
Be responsible, balance your energies, go stock up on candy and chips and get yourself royally fried!

i think it's good
it's from the earth

marijuana kinda triggered my awakening process
when i get high i have more spiritual experiences than usual
i tap into my subconscious mind and become right brain-dominant [i usually am, but it started when i started smoking]

for some people, marijuana can be a non-productive substance that leads them to become lazy and whatnot

but for me, it's highly productive

plus i think it's fun

I've had some interesting things happen while stoned. but sometimes it can be very bad. for instance I cant be around people high. too much energy. the last couple of post on this i think had it right.

Definitely Good for Spiritual growth and a natural medicine used over the ages, by many of our great thinkers to stay in touch with the earth and planets. Government has demonized a natural healer of the body and spirit. What do you think was laoded in the peace pipes? How do you think Aristotle reached his high level of conciousness?

Medical Marijuana is already with us, albeit in limited supply to restricted countries under the guise of Sativex.

I think it is even worse than green tea.!
it hinders your financial and religeous development
and animals hate Marihuana.yes they do. Ask my dog!
There are three main points why it damages your ability to remember .
The first is mainly psychological
the second obviously physiological
and the third
I can`t remember.

i am sure that Mary Jane will survive mankind.
