It is strange that you would share this at this time. I have myself had tow exeriences with different animals almost to the point of conversations. They let me know what they were thinking. It doen not happen often with me but can and does on occasion.

Beautiful story, I lived in the african bush for many years and never believed in carying a rifle when walking through the bush but beeing aware and respectful towards wild animals and tolerating there habits. At occasions I would be ether cornered or suppriesed by an animal and already much to close to respect the natural safety distance. Every time, I would speak to the animal in my mind and look into there eyes and not move an inch and after a while, the animals would turn back, ore move away sideways and let me move in peace. They understand my respect and love for them and sense that I mean them no harm. ( that does not mean that I did not shit myself in those moments). Also in my neighbor hood sometimes dogs are beeing left alone for periods of time and they just go ape and bark and houwle all night, I speak to them in my mind and quite often I think they stop barking because I talk to them and they feel not so alone. I love these responses. As I told Holly, "I realized after months of frustration with my sweet little dog friend Stick that all I had to do to get him to "do his buisness" outside, was to have a conversation explaining why it was important to me. After that he never had another "accident". I have explained to him why I need him to bark quietly, and he started saying "woof" instead of shouting it."
They understand better than we do at times, and I think they are just one form of teacher in how to communicate.
I have more stories like this and I will soon share them.
