Amazing revelations have emerged concerning already existing government plans to overhaul the way the internet functions in order to apply much greater restrictions and control over the web.
Lessig also revealed there is already in existence a cyber equivalent of the Patriot Act waiting for a cyber terrorism event in order to implement its provisions.
Lawrence Lessig, a respected Law Professor from Stanford University told an audience at this years Fortune’s Brainstorm Tech conference in Half Moon Bay, California, that “There’s going to be an i-9/11 event” which will act as a catalyst for a radical reworking of the law pertaining to the internet.
Lessig also revealed that he had learned, during a dinner with former government Counter Terrorism Czar Richard Clarke, that there is already in existence a cyber equivalent of the Patriot Act, an “i-Patriot Act” if you will, and that the Justice Department is waiting for a cyber terrorism event in order to implement its provisions.
During a group panel segment titled “2018: Life on the Net”, Lessig stated:
There’s going to be an i-9/11 event. Which doesn’t necessarily mean an Al Qaeda attack, it means an event where the instability or the insecurity of the internet becomes manifest during a malicious event which then inspires the government into a response. You’ve got to remember that after 9/11 the government drew up the Patriot Act within 20 days and it was passed.
The Patriot Act is huge and I remember someone asking a Justice Department official how did they write such a large statute so quickly, and of course the answer was that it has been sitting in the drawers of the Justice Department for the last 20 years waiting for the event where they would pull it out.
Of course, the Patriot Act is filled with all sorts of insanity about changing the way civil rights are protected, or not protected in this instance. So I was having dinner with Richard Clarke and I asked him if there is an equivalent, is there an i-Patriot Act just sitting waiting for some substantial event as an excuse to radically change the way the internet works. He said “of course there is”.

Lessig is the founder of Stanford Law School’s Center for Internet and Society. He is founding board member of Creative Commons and is a board member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and of the Software Freedom Law Center. He is best known as a proponent of reduced legal restrictions on copyright, trademark and radio frequency spectrum, particularly in technology applications.
These are clearly not the ravings of some paranoid cyber geek.
The Patriot Act, as well as its lesser known follow up the Domestic Security Enhancement Act 2003, also known as USA Patriot Act II, have been universally decried by civil libertarians and Constitutional scholars from across the political spectrum. They have stripped back basic rights and handed what have been described by even the most moderate critics as “dictatorial control” over to the president and the federal government.
Many believed that the legislation was a response to the attacks of 9/11, but the reality was that the Patriot Act was prepared way in advance of 9/11 and it sat dormant, awaiting an event to justify its implementation.
In the days after the attacks it was passed in the House by a majority of 357 to 66. It passed the Senate by 98 to 1. Congressman Ron Paul (R-Tex) told the Washington Times that no member of Congress was even allowed to read the legislation.
Now we discover that exactly the same freedom restricting legislation has already been prepared for the cyber world.
An i-9/11, as described by Lawrence Lessig, would provide the perfect pretext to implement such restrictions in one swift motion, as well as provide the justification for relegating and eliminating specific content and information on the web.
Such an event could come in the form of a major viral attack, the hacking of a major city’s security or transport systems, or some other vital systems, or a combination of all of these things. Considering the amount of unanswered questions regarding 9/11 and all the indications that it was a covert false flag operation, it isn’t hard to imagine such an event being played out in the cyber world.
However, regardless of any i-9/11 or i-Patriot Act, there is already a coordinated effort to stem the reach and influence of the internet.
We have tirelessly warned of this general movement to restrict, censor, control and eventually completely shut down the internet as we know it, thereby killing the last real vestige of free speech in the world today and eliminating the greatest communication and information tool ever conceived.
Our governments have reams of legislation penned to put clamps on the web as we know it. Legislation such as the PRO-IP Act of 2007: H.R. 4279, that would create an IP czar at the Department of Justice and the Intellectual Property Enforcement Act of 2007: S. 522, which would create an entire ‘Intellectual Property Enforcement Network’. These are just two examples.
In addition, we have already seen how the major corporate websites and social networks are decentralizing and coming together to implement overarching identification, verification and access systems that have been described by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg as “the beginning of a movement and the beginning of an industry.”
Some of these major tech companies have already joined efforts in projects such as the Information Card Foundation, which has proposed the creation of a system of internet ID cards that will be required for internet access. Of course, such a system would give those involved the ability to track and control user activity much more effectively. This is just one example.
In addition, as we reported yesterday, major transportation hubs like St. Pancras International, as well as libraries, big businesses, hospitals and other public outlets that offer wi-fi Internet, are blacklisting alternative news websites and making them completely inaccessible to their users.
These precedents are merely the first indication of what is planned for the Internet over the next 5-10 years, with the traditional web becoming little more than a vast spy database that catalogues people’s every activity and bombards them with commercials, while those who comply with centralized control and regulation of content will be free to enjoy the new super-fast Internet 2.
We must speak out about this rampant move to implement strict control mechanisms on the web NOW before it is too late, before the spine of the free internet is broken and its body essentially becomes paralyzed beyond repair.

We continue to register your rapidly increasing levels of consciousness. You are coming together in the one energy that is emphasizing the need for change. It is creating the conditions for the manifestation of what is needed to move you on, and it is motivating many brave souls who now come forth with truth as their driving force for good. These souls stand out and speak with full confidence and passion, as they fight for your right to remove those who no longer serve your highest ideals. They need your support and we ask you to rally around them, as there is a greater safety in numbers and less risk of interference. We see so many individuals taking it upon themselves to enlighten others as to what is taking place, and they will not be denied.
The dark are suddenly facing the reality of their own demise, and for those who have wielded so much power it is a great shock. Now there is fear amongst the Illuminati, as having seemingly achieved their goal to establish their authority over all others, it is now slipping away. Other countries have recognized the path being trod, and Russia in particular having been broken apart by insidious interference in their affairs, have risen up again with an agenda to create a peaceful world. They are a great power within their own rights, who stand against the criminals who govern the US. There is indeed a bloc of countries that oppose the US, and they are unknowingly helping create the conditions that will allow for the massive changes needed..
Humanity is crying out for leadership that will remove the infidels that are intent on destroying the world, and restore sanity and a feeling of oneness and co-operation. The energy for such changes is already there and simply seeks an outlet for its manifestation. The gravity of the world situation with so much starvation, and shortages imposed by policies intended to bring countries to their knees, is awakening others to the need of prompt action. The next few weeks will be politically very active, and the dark forces will find their plans are no longer viable. It will be an opportunity to take away the power of the leading members of the last cabal, and once weakened it will become easier to instigate their complete removal.
Needless to say, as always we are abreast of what is taking place, and have a total picture of the likely outcome of the impetus created by you. It means that our allies can seize opportunities to push forward with their own agenda, and it will speed up the final stages that will allow the first major changes to appear. However, patience is still required as having come thus far, we do not intend that all of your good work and ours shall be set back by moving too quickly. We are ready to seize control on your behalf as soon as it is practical to do so, and prevent any madcap actions by the dark as they contemplate defeat. We know exactly how they think, and will curtail any attempts to prevent the Light from manifesting on your world.
The truth of past events that have established a false terrorist threat, and self-imposed actions attributed to them, are becoming accepted worldwide. It is seen that opposition has resulted from such actions, and that the Illuminati are the root cause of much worldwide conflict. The truth can no longer be hidden, and overwhelming evidence of their dark agenda to impose their rule upon you is openly acknowledged. Man is in essence a benign creature that desires to live out life in peace, so as to be free to enjoy his creations and share them with others. Therefore, there will be absolutely no difficulty in your coming together, during the interim period that shall precede First Contact. It will see much activity and a new sense of purpose, which shall break down all previous barriers that have kept you apart. There will be a great urge to repair the damage of centuries of war and hostilities that have caused so much hatred. All prejudice and cultural differences will be set aside, and eventually a world government will be established that truly represents your needs and has our support. You must work towards Ascension by laying down the pathway of Love and Light, and stepping upon it as soon as possible. It is our service to you, and we are making our intentions known through opening up many more channels of communication. It has taken a long time to open your eyes, and get you to look outside of the cocoon that has hidden the truth from you. When we tell you that you are great Beings, we do not do so to inflate your ego but to remind you of your latent powers of creation. You are far from powerless, and can throw off the yoke of being “Lesser Beings” which image has been imposed upon you by the ruling powers.

You are all gods in making and before this cycle ends, you shall attain much higher levels of consciousness and exercise your creative powers. yes its too late, I heard now already about 11 percent of humanity is spiritually
awake, last year it was about 2,5 percent. From what I have heard it looks like
this month will bring the long awaited breakthrough.

US Congress warned of Chinese cyber, space threats
China has developed a sophisticated cyber warfare program and stepped up its capacity to penetrate US computer networks to extract sensitive information, a US congressional panel warned.
"China has an active cyber espionage program," the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission said in its annual report to the US Congress. "China is targeting US government and commercial computers."
In its 393-page report, the panel also criticized Beijing for exercising "heavy-handed government control" over its economy and "continuing arms sales and military support to rogue regimes" such as Sudan, Myanmar and Iran.
The commission also issued a warning about China's space program. "China continues to make significant progress in developing space capabilities, many of which easily translate to enhanced military capacity," it said.
"Although some Chinese space programs have no explicit military intent, many space systems -- such as communications, navigation, meteorological, and imagery systems -- are dual use in nature," the commission said.
The commission, which was established by Congress in 2000 to analyze the economic and national security relationship between the two nations, said China was investing heavily in cyber warfare.
"Since China's current cyber operations capability is so advanced, it can engage in forms of cyber warfare so sophisticated that the United States may be unable to counteract or even detect the efforts," the commission said.
It said Chinese hacker groups may be operating with government support.
"By some estimates, there are 250 hacker groups in China that are tolerated and may even be encouraged by the government to enter and disrupt computer networks," the commission said.
It quoted Colonel Gary McAlum, chief of staff for the US Strategic Command's Joint Task Force for Global Network Operations, as saying China has recognized the importance of cyber operations as a tool of warfare and "has the intent and capability to conduct cyber operations anywhere in the world at any time."
"China is aggressively pursuing cyber warfare capabilities that may provide it with an asymmetric advantage against the United States," the commission said. "In a conflict situation, this advantage would reduce current US conventional military dominance."
The commission recalled that unclassified US military, government and government contractor websites and computer systems were the victims of cyber intrusions in 2002 codenamed "Titan Rain" and attributed to China.
And earlier this month The Financial Times, citing an unnamed senior US official, reported that Chinese hackers -- possibly with backing by the Beijing government -- had penetrated the White House computer network and obtained emails between government officials.
The commission made 45 recommendations to Congress including possible "additional funding for military, intelligence and homeland security programs that monitor and protect critical American computer networks."
On the economic front, the commission said "China relies on heavy-handed government control over its economy to maintain an export advantage over other countries."
"The result: China has amassed nearly two trillion dollars in foreign exchange and has increasingly used its hoard to manipulate currency trading and diplomatic relations with other nations," it said.
"Rather than use this money for the benefit of its citizens -- by funding pensions and erecting hospitals and schools, for example -- China has been using the funds to seek political and economic influence over other nations," said Larry Wortzel, chairman of the commission.
Beijing's "continuing arms sales and military support to rogue regimes, namely Sudan, Burma, and Iran, threaten the stability of fragile regions and hinder US and international efforts to address international crises, such as the genocide in Darfur," the commission added.
The commission acknowledged some progress by China, specifically its adherence to non-proliferation agreements and involvement in the six-party talks to dismantle North Korea's nuclear weapons production capacity.
But it criticized China's use of prison labor to produce goods for export and an "information control regime" that it said regulates the print and broadcast media, Internet, entertainment and education.
